CPA members and stakeholders were welcomed to the 120th CPA Annual Lunch in the historic Guildhall by CPA Chair Ross Sayers (Head of Development Management, Landsec).
In his speech he celebrated the resurgence of the City of London and its critical contribution to the UK economy. He cited the City of London Corporation’s Destination City growth strategy and the City Plan 2040 as key drivers behind the Square Mile’s economic success.
This was followed by a keynote speech from renowned columnist and associate editor for the Financial Times and former The Economist political correspondent, Janan Ganesh. Janan reflected on the geopolitical trends that will shape the world over the next 10 years and the role that he envisions the UK will play as an enduring beacon for investment, business and talent over the next decade.
A vote of thanks was also delivered by newly elected CPA Vice Chair Nikki Dibley (Senior Development Executive, Helical).
