We were delighted to welcome members and stakeholders for the CPA Annual Dinner, celebrating City of London’s past, present and future as a global centre for trade and commerce.
CPA Chair Ross Sayers (Head of Development Management, Landsec) opened the dinner, welcoming the City of London Corporation’s leadership in carefully balancing the preservation of historic artefacts with the need to drive economic growth and deliver world-class workspaces.
This was followed by a keynote from renowned historian, author and broadcaster Professor Michael Scott who transported us back to Roman Londinium – explaining what the remains of amphitheatres, bath houses, basilicas and fortress walls tell us about life in the ancient city. He also reflected on the importance of celebrating history, while ensuring that the City continues to evolve, adapt and thrive on the world stage.
Closing comments were made by CPA Vice Chair, Nikki Dibley (Senior Development Executive, Helical).
