Sustainable investment & development in the City & City Fringe

18 October 2022 to 18 Oct 2022
8:00 am to 10:00 am

CPA members joined us on Tuesday 18 October for a breakfast seminar at the JJ Mack Building, 33 Charterhouse street in partnership with Helical and Knight Frank.

The newly completed JJ Mack Building is an exemplar in sustainable development and was the very first building to be awarded BREEAM Outstanding in the UK. Comprising 200,000 sq ft of best-in-class office space and offering uninterrupted views over the City, guests were among the very first to step foot in the building.

The seminar was opened by Alastair Moss, Deputy Chair of the Planning & Transportation Committee, before our panel of experts, explored the following issues:

  • Plugging the green skills gap and the City Corporation’s Skills for a Sustainable Skyline Taskforce
  • Tackling carbon emissions via development, including the City Corporation’s Whole Lifecycle Carbon Optioneering Planning Advice Note
  • How the City is approaching decarbonising existing commercial stock and the City Corporation’s heritage taskforce
  • How our public realm and built environment will be transformed to ensure the City is climate resilient
