Response to the City Corporation’s City Streets measures for Covid recovery

05 Jan 2021

The CPA has written a letter of support for the retention of the City Corporation’s City Streets temporary on-street measures to support Covid-19 recovery. Approved at committee on 5 January 2021, the temporary measures will remain in place, with further review planned for spring.

The letter, addressed to Deputy Alastair Moss, Chair of the Planning and Transportation Committee, states:

“It is right that the measures outlined in the committee report remain in place with a further review in spring 2021, which will allow for wider monitoring and analysis of their impacts.

If the ambition to transform our streets for the better is fully realised, taking into account changing patterns of modal transport and the need to tackle climate change, we believe the City will be well placed to help lead London’s recovery in 2021 and beyond.”
