Hidden culture: City walking tour

23 September 2025 to 23 Sep 2025
4:00 pm to 7:00 pm

The CPA NextGen Committee hosted a walking tour exploring a range of cultural activations and meanwhile spaces across the City of London – demonstrating how sites still in development can be animated with arts, culture and community use.

Highlights included The Flēot: Green Skills Hub, the Urban Farming Project, and Holborn Viaduct, which have provided temporary locations youth development, skills training, sustainability and the integration of art and heritage in urban spaces.

The group of young property professionals also visited Liverpool Street Station to view Yayoi Kusama’s iconic sculpture, and Broadworks, a cultural hub for artists and makers. The tour concluded at Seed130 Gallery, which showcased the In Bloom exhibition by the National Trust and Transport for London.

The event was organised by CPA NextGen committee and Futurecity:

  • Dolunay Dogahan – Project Manager, CO-RE
  • George Kekatos – Cultural Director, Futurecity
  • Bethan Hawkins – Senior Associate, Newmark & CPA NextGen Vice Chair
  • Sophie Morgan – Senior Development Manager, Landsec & CPA NextGen Chair
