Since the Financial Times left the City in 1989, the City of London has been transformed, becoming a 24-hour global tech, creative and financial hub. At the same time the likes of advertising agency McCann Worldgroup is moving to the area, with the City of London Corporation itself driving much of the change.

Join CPA at this breakfast seminar exploring what the City of London offers to innovative media, creative and tech companies, sitting alongside financial and professional services. Attendees will hear the story behind the design of the FT‘s building, which has seen it return to its former headquarters, three decades after its move to Southwark. What changes have been made to the Grade II listed gothic-modern building to provide world-class office space? And how will McCann Worldgroup be approaching its move from a selection of offices to British Land’s Broadgate?

This event will give members the chance to hear from the City Corporation and business leaders about how the City of London continues to evolve to meet modern business needs and cater for a new generation of talent.

Speakers include:

  • Judith Evans – Property Correspondent at the FT (Moderator)
  • Stephen Guy – Chief Integration Officer and Chief of Staff – McCann Worldgroup
  • Annie Hampson OBE – Chief Planning Officer & Development Director at the City of London Corporation
  • John Robertson – Founder of John Robertson Architects; architect for the renovation of Bracken House

Further speakers to be announced.
