City Property Association appoints new Vice Chair

22 Jul 2021

Gareth Roberts – British Land’s Head of Broadgate Developments – has been elected Vice Chair of City Property Association (CPA): the membership body and advocacy group for real estate in the City of London.

Commenting on his appointment, Gareth Roberts said: “I am delighted to be joining the CPA leadership team. Having chaired the Association’s Transport & Public Realm committee, I know the vital role of the organisation. The CPA is helping shape the future of the Square Mile – of which Broadgate Estate is an important and evolving landmark.”

The CPA Chair, Dan Scanlon (Brookfield Properties – Senior Vice President) said: “Gareth takes on the role at an important time for the City and is well placed to contribute to our work with the City Corporation to help ensure the City remains a global, sustainable and dynamic business district, as it recovers from the impacts of the pandemic.”

Gareth takes up his role with immediate effect, following the previous Vice Chair Harry Badham moving roles from AXA IM Alts to Hammerson, and subsequently leaving the CPA Board. James Goldsmith, Head of Leasing at AXA IM Alts, has been appointed the firm’s representative following Badham’s departure.

Scanlon added: “We wish Harry well for the future and thank him for his boundless energy, enthusiasm and support during his time with CPA. We are delighted to welcome James who will no doubt continue in the same vein given his commitment to the City.”
