Our ‘Global Investment Evening Reception’ brought together members and stakeholders to celebrate the pivotal role of the City’s built environment in attracting investment into the UK.
Hosted at Stonecutter Court – CO-RE’s new 13-storey, 250,000 sq ft Grade A office development for Ivanhoé Cambridge and PIMCO Prime Real Estate – the event opened with a presentation from Alexander Jan (Chief Economic Advisor, London Property Alliance) on the latest insights from our Global Cities Barometer, which confirmed London as the most attractive market for FDI.
A quick-fire panel then explored why the UK capital continues to outperform its global rivals in attracting international capital. This included the City’s exceptional connectivity, which is driving investor demand and London’s relative stability amid political volatility elsewhere. However, speakers also stressed the need to ensure economic growth driven by global investment translates into wider social prosperity felt by all.
