Members and guests attended the CPA Annual Dinner, celebrating the City of London’s continued evolution as one of the world’s leading destinations for business, investment and culture.
Held at the Pan Pacific London, the event brought together more than 320 people from the Square Mile’s property sector.
CPA Chair Nikki Dibley (Senior Development Executive, Helical) opened the evening by reflecting on what makes the Square Mile such a remarkable place: its unique combination of historic character, global significance and constant reinvention. She highlighted how the successful integration of old and new continues to support the City’s growth while maintaining the qualities that make it an attractive place to work, invest and visit.
This was followed by a keynote address from Sharon Ament (Director of London Museum), who shared insights into the museum’s move to its new home at Smithfield. Sharon explored the transformation of the historic Victorian General Market into a major new cultural destination, demonstrating how heritage-led regeneration can breathe new life into some of the City’s most significant buildings while supporting the continued revitalisation of the wider Smithfield area with benefits for London and the UK.
